Old School 327 Chevrolet

Old School 327 Chevrolet

This 327 was from 1962 or 1963 and in 1970 was rebuilt and never started and put away. When purchased in 2024 it came with all the receipts from the build. For example the previous owner bought a brand new set of 302 DZ Heads casting #186 complete for $149.00 back in 1970. We did a complete disassembly and everything was brand new. It has a Crower Monarch Cam which we called Crower and the man on the phone said that’s an old one. A Mallory Dual Point Distributor which back at this time was state of the art. This 327 also had a GM Aluminum Dual Quad Intake and Carter WCFB Carburetors which need a total rebuild. We had to also replaced the oil pan because of pin holes and we are waiting for a new set of valve covers because the black ones are our test set. For now we are running a Edelbrock Victor Jr Manifold and a DFT Carburetor. After break in this 327 made 394 HP & 383 TQ which is not bad for all old school parts. See a short video of it running on our Facebook page!
